BlackBerry, the Canadian-based maker of pocket e-mail and calendar devices, plans to move beyond executives and encourage busy families to sign up to its service. "In the next five years, a huge number of mobile phone users are set to convert to smart phones," said Dean Pacey, an executive in Germany of Research In Motion (RIM).
He said one way to do this would be to offer families up to five of the devices so they could synchronise their appointments and contacts with one another.
