Honorary Counsel of Switzerland, Suleman N Khan on Monday, opened a painting exhibition by Asad Faruki at the Nairang Art Galleries. The exhibition will continue till March 17. Khan said Faruki's work had a strong identity and he had skilfully blended colours and calligraphic motifs into a unified statement, creating an ambience of serenity and balance.
"His skill in manipulating line, colour, texture behind exuberant charms and power of forms, reflects aesthetic evolution framed with in the technical skill, which excites the viewer and makes his work more interesting, yet different," he added.
Gallery curator Saima Shah said there were 48 paintings priced between Rs 30,000 to Rs 90,000. She also said Asad was an artist with flair. "Bold strokes, soothing colours and spontaneous expression can define his latest work," she added.
