The 51st annual general meeting of the Income Tax Bar Association (ITBA), Karachi, elected Abdul Qadir Memon and Wasim Hashmi as president and vice-president respectively, Muhammad Zubair, newly elected general secretary, said on Monday. Other elected office-bearers are Mohammed Aleem, joint secretary and Iqbal Ahmed Abadan, librarian.
The eight-member managing committee includes Abdul Aziz Tayabani, Adnan Ahmed Mufti, Mian Saleem Akhter, Naeem Akhter, Abdul Khaliq Khatri, Ali A. Rahim, Ali R. Merchant and Roshan Zameer.
Memon has previously served the ITBA as president, vice president and general secretary. Currently, he is senior vice president of the All Pakistan Tax Bar Association. Hashmi has served ITBA as general secretary in 2001 and 2002. Zubair is a former president of the Memon Professional Forum.
