A rally was also organised by PML-N (Women wing) under the leadership of Sultana Shaheen and Shaheen Shafiq. Traders and Labour Party, PONM, JI, PML-N, and Tehrik-e-Insaf also organised rallies, which later joined the lawyers' black flag march.
President District Bar Multan, Najaf Ali Chavan said, "the week long protest in support of deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry would continue till March 16."
Welcoming the Muree declaration, he hoped that both the parties would reinstate judges and said, "we will also give time to the new parliament to fulfil its commitment in reinstating the sacked judges." He said that the Muree declaration was the outcome of one-year struggle of the lawyers' fraternity. Chavan thanked the media, NGOs, other organisations and members of the civil society for their participation in the 'Black Flag Week'.
