The Indian rupee recovered from a six-month low in early trade to close stronger on Monday, as exporters cash in their dollars and traders unwound long dollar positions. The partially convertible rupee ended at 40.48/49 per dollar, stronger than Friday's close of 40.525/535.
In morning trade, the rupee sank to 40.715, its lowest since September 10, according to Reuters data.
