President Pakistan Muslim League-Q and former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain Wednesday termed national reconciliation mandatory for completion of the new assembly's stipulated term.
"The new assembly could only complete its term if national reconciliation is adopted besides maintaining good working relationship with the president and respect to other institutions of the country," he told reporters at his residence here.
Shujaat Hussain said the rigid attitude adopted by Mian Nawaz Sharif could create confrontation between the parliament and the judiciary and any such development would prove harmful for the entire democratic system.
"PPP Co-chairperson Asif Zardari is inching towards political maturity while the adamant attitude of Nawaz could pose threat to the democratic system," the Shujaat said.
