The Karachi Port handled 129,625 tonnes cargo including 108,223 tonnes import, 21,402 tonnes export cargo and 2,764 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 84,133 tonnes dry cargo including 32,473 tonnes general cargo; 513 tonnes Wheat; 20,661 tonnes Coal; 10,020 tonnes Rock Phosphate; 14,210 tonnes Fertiliser; 6,256 tonnes Cement and 45,492 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Mol Ability, Kapitan Byankin, Atyaab, Pacific Tourmaline, Atlantic Express, Luck Fortune and Jawahar Lal Nehru sailed out to sea during the report period. Five vessels viz Westernstar, Old Trust, Apl Amman, Vemacape and Eser Kaptauoglu are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Cap Colorado, Emerald Park, Vemacape and Kosmos expected to sail on Wednesday, while four vessels viz Red Sea Spirit, Ladytramp, Apl Amman and Westernstar are expected to sail on Thursday.
Seven vessel viz Gemini, A Dragon, Chemroad Vega, Harmony, Vinalines Mighty, Alina and Da Tian due to arrive on Wednesday, while five ships namely Gopa, Mare Threcium, Apl Tulip, Ltc Calvin P. Titus and Aqua Star are due to arrive on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 32,255 tonnes Furnace Oil; 4,970 tonnes Tallow Oil; 3,939 tonnes Wheat; 3,358 tonnes Canola Seeds; 9,000 tonnes Chemicals; 1,551 tonnes Cement and 20,247 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three ships namely MT Vema Ocean, MV Atlantic and MV Yasa Pembe sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. Two ships namely CV Nedlloyd Africa and CV Maersk Ohio are expected to sail on Wednesday afternoon.
A total of nine ships namely Anna, San Andres, Venus-7, Al-Mirqab, Theo-T, Hyderabad, African Zebra, Artaki and Nord Vision carrying Coal, Containers, Carbon Oil and Wheat respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight vessels viz CV Nedlloyd Africa, CV Maersk Ohio, MV Leopard-B, MT Varden, MV Atlantic, MV Yasa Pembe, MT Vema Ocean and MT Tirumalai are currently occupying berths to load/offload Containers, Cement, Wheat, Canola Seeds, Furnace Oil and Chemicals respectively during last 24 hours. Five vessels viz MT San Andres, Al-Mirqab, MV Nord Vision, MT Anna and Thio-T due to take berths on Wednesday.
