NWFP chief minister designate Amir Haider Khan Hoti has said that the coalition government in the province will give top priority to law and order and for that matter they will invite militants for talks. He said he had already asked the concerned authorities and party workers to form Jirgas in order to negotiate with them.
This he said while talking to various delegations led by former MPAs Muhammad Shoaib Khan of Betkhela, Naik Amal Khan of Sakha Kot, ex-MNA Rehmanullah of Swabi and a delegation of TMA Union Mardan led by its senior vice president Abdul Hakim and general secretary Sakhiullah at Hoti House, Mardan.
Amir Haider Khan expressed the hope that militants would positively respond to the efforts of government in the province. He said all peaceful means would be adopted in order to ensure peace and tranquillity especially in Swat and other parts of the province.
Haider Hoti said their ANP party believed in peace and peaceful means for the solution of all confronted matters. He regretted that much bloodshed and destruction of Pukhtoons had been done yet time had come to find out other ways and means to stop human killings.
He assured the delegations that their genuine problems would soon be solved. He discussed law and order situation with delegations that gave detailed briefing of their respective areas to Amir Haider Khan. He said development projects especially Malakand Hydel Project would immediately be completed. He said education, health and providing basic amenities to the people would also be their priority.
He said Lund Khwar Police Station would be equipped with latest arms and other facilities. He condemned the kidnapping cases and warned that such culprits would be dealt with an iron hand. NWFP chief minister designate Amir Haider Khan Hoti asked the concerned authorities to immediately start the campaign against kidnappers and other outlaws so as to provide peaceful atmosphere to the people.
