The Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered Sialkot's district police officer to bring up a criminal case against the Uggoki Police Station House Officer (SHO) for torturing a mother's son after he had arrested him illegally.
Justice Ahsen Bhoon's order came after a petition filed by Parveen Kausar claiming police officials had picked her son from the house and then demanded Rs 100,000 for his release.
The court bailiff recovered the boy from the concerned police station though the boy appeared to have suffered from an anklebone fractured while being tortured. The judge then ordered for his medical legal report to assess the cause of injury.
