Accountability Court (ACC-II) Karachi on Friday adjourned the hearing of Alliance Motors scam case till March 31. The case was fixed for final arguments on Friday but could not proceed. According to prosecution accused Muhammad Dawood cheated 48,250 investors and deprived them of their hard earned 3.57 million.
In a related case, the same court adjourned hearing of reference against accused Roshan Bano till April 23. She was accused of purchasing and owning properties with money siphoned from Alliance Motor Company.
Another Accountability Court (ACC-I) adjourned hearing of 330 acres land scam case against Adam Jokhiyo and others till Saturday. The court was proceeding with the matter when the Special Public Prosecutor sought adjournment on ground that DPG NAB is out of town and his presence at this critical juncture (of the case) is necessary. According to prosecutor the accused purchased 30 acres of lands and later allegedly in connivance with the revenue officials made fake entries on revenue record making 30 acres to 330 acres in Gadap Town.
Accountability Court-III also adjourned hearing of a reference against accused Abdul Qayyum Baig, Saving Bank Counter Clerk of Landhi Post Office till April 7. He was accused of misappropriating Rs 1,412,800.
