Punjab Fisheries Department will hold a Fish Farmers' Convention on April 2 at the Fisheries Research and Training Institute, Manawan, said the Director General (DG), Punjab Fisheries, Dr Muhammad Ayub.
Giving details about the event, he said that scientist and scholars from Zoology departments of different universities are expected to participate in the convention while the Secretary, Forests, Fisheries and Wildlife, Naveed Akram Cheema will chair the event.
The DG, Fisheries also said that the objective of the convention was to make the farmers aware of latest methods of fish farming and seek their suggestions in this regard. Introducing latest scientific methods could increase fish production further, he added.
