The Karachi Port handled 151,898 tonnes cargo including 104,820 tonnes import, 47,078 tonnes export cargo and 5,534 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 105,248 tonnes dry cargo including 71,761 tonnes general cargo; 6,929 tonnes Wheat; 6,709 tonnes Coal; 5,200 tonnes Rock Phosphate; 3,384 tonnes Fertiliser; 6,668 tonnes Cement; 4,597 tonnes Rice and 46,650 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Nine ships namely Sp 5-Eric G. Gibson, Cape Negro, Kota Mesra, Breeze, Handi Tankers Spirit, D D Progress, Balticon Hamburg, Jbu Orient and Pacific Express sailed out to sea during the report period.
Nine vessels viz Team Al-Emirates, Lucky Arrow, Bogasari Lima, King Brian, Hyundai Sprinter, Tower Bridge, MT Swat, Champion Pleasure and Bengal Orchid are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Strange Attractor and Lucky Arrow expected to sail on Saturday, while eight vessels viz Hyundai Sprinter, Tower Bridge, Bengal Orchid, King Brian, Orient Saori, MT Swat, Eastern Star and Champion Pleasure are expected to sail on Sunday.
Three vessels viz Champion Polar, Bunga Delima and Al-Mansourah due to arrive on Saturday, while six ships namely Vema Cape, Arabian Wind, Rainbow, MT Johar, Cosco Karachi and Itha Bhum are due to arrive on Sunday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 105,145 tonnes comprising 80,384 tonnes import and 24,761 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 3,457 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 23,117 tonnes Furnace Oil; 8,197 tonnes Palm Oil; 10,365 tonnes Wheat; 15,500 tonnes Coke; 1,841 tonnes Cement and 46,125 tonnes containerised cargo. Container vessel viz New Delhi Express sailed out to sea on Saturday morning, while two more ships namely CV Maersk Novazzano and MT World Majesty are expected to sail on the same day.
A total of nine ships namely Jawaharlal Nehru, Sinar Agra, CMA CGM Rose, Kaghan, Theoniki, Steel Might, Skua, Ocean Morning and Provider carrying Crude Oil, Chemicals, Containers, Iron Ore and Wheat respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight vessels viz CV New Delhi Express, CV Maersk Novazzano, MV Tiran Island, MV Pontonikis, MV African Zebra, MT World Majesty, MT Al-Debaran and MV Jiaho are currently occupying berths to load/offload Containers, Cement, Palm Oil, Wheat, Furnace Oil and Coke respectively during last 24 hours. Three vessels viz CV CMA CGM Rose, MSC Tai and MT Sinar Agra due to take berths at Container Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Saturday.
MT Estia carrying Diesel Oil due to arrive on Saturday, while two more vessels viz CV MSC Eleonora and MT Tai Hu carrying Containers and Diesel Oil are due to arrive on Sunday. Seven vessels namely MSC Tia, Maersk Lowa, Nedlloyd Asia, Al-Salam-II, Paula, Yanaseni and Bengal Orchid with Containers, Diesel Oil, Project Cargo and Chemicals respectively are due to arrive.
