The third All Pakistan Lawyers Convention (APLC) will be held at Karachi on April 12, which would be attended by the legal community from all over the country. Vice President Pakistan Bar Council Aziz Akbar Baig informed in a press statement issued here on Tuesday.
He said that the Convention is being arranged under the auspices of Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) and will be attended by members of provincial bar councils, office bearers of Supreme Court Bar Association, High court, district and sub-divisional bar associations. It would be held in accordance with the decision taken at the Pakistan Bar Council meeting in January, 13, he added.
"The Pakistan Bar Council in collaboration with other bar bodies is spearheading the ongoing lawyers' movement for the restoration of judges of superior courts," he apprised.
He said the lawyers would continue to raise voice for the supremacy of the Constitution, independence of judiciary and rule of law. The first convention was held at Islamabad on February 9 and second at Lahore on March 15.
