The General Engineering and Supply Depots (North) of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in Islamabad have attained International Standard of Integrated Management System (IMS) comprising ISO-9001-2000 for Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2004 for Environment Management System and OHSAS 18001-1999 for Health and Safety Management system.
According to the CAA spokesman, the IMS Certificate was handed over by the representative of certification body during a ceremony attended by the DG, CAA, Farooq Rehmatullah.
Speaking at the occasion Rehmatullah said that all airports of the country and Civil Aviation Training Institute (CATI), Hyderabad would also be certified under a phased plan. It was in line with the philosophy of creating passenger-friendly environment at the airports and providing high quality customer-oriented services, he maintained.
