The Central Executive Council of Allied Bank Workers Federation of Pakistan (CBA) in an emergency meeting has welcomed the revival of trade unions which would enable the unions to play their effective role in banking sector, said Secretary General Shahid Hussain Naqvi on Friday.
He said that the employees of ABL were facing serious economic hardships for past eight years and nothing had been done for their betterment. He appealed to Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani that steps should be taken for resolving economic problems of Allied Bank workers on top priority.
He lauded the efforts of the Prime Minister for extending relief to common man and urged for redressal the problems of bank employees. The meeting unanimously congratulated Prime Minister for expressing solidarity with labourers and ordering lifting of ban for trade unions. Chairman of the Federation Muhammad Akram Khan, President Muhammad Ajmal Khan, Vice President Mubsher Kazmi and Muhammad Sadiq Deputy Secretary attended the meeting.
