Through the courtesy of your esteemed daily it's my privilege to bring it to the notice of the high ups of the Federal Board of Revenue to the newly amended section of Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 which has made mandatory fur the corporate sector to file all their returns and statements by electronic system, that is, by way of E-filing which on paper is not only excellent.
But very attractive and beautiful too but in practice there is nothing worst than it. The aforementioned law was made by the aliens because that was the time when we were being ruled by the aliens; but since now the situation has changed and thanks to Almighty God now we have the rulers who are among ourselves, therefore, it is hoped that they while appreciating the problem will take remedial steps to rectify the situation.
The problem is that Pakistan is known around the world as a country equipped with nuclear weapons but in fact it is a country which does not have electric power to lit the houses of its people in Pakistan the electricity is not available for hours hence in the prevailing conditions no computers can be put on work. In this situation the only left or available opportunity is that of manual working.
In the prevailing circumstances we request the managers of Federal Board of Revenue to kindly reinstate the old position of filing the returns and statements manually, however, E--filing, may also be allowed simultaneously where the environments permit to do so.
In the light of above facts and circumstances it is prayed and hoped that His Excellency, the elected Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Federal Finance Minister and the rest economic managers of Pakistan while looking into the issue will do the needful to rectify the situation otherwise a large number of tax payers will face numerous problems of imposition of fines, penalties etc which will certainly destroy the friendly atmosphere of tax payers and collectors.
