The Punjab government has replaced Punjab Home Secretary on Tuesday, which is part of the current reshuffling of the Punjab bureaucracy. An official at the Punjab Civil Secretariat said Small Industries Corporation Managing Director Nadeem Hassan Asif had been transferred and posted as Punjab Home Secretary.
He has replaced Khusro Perviaz who has been transferred and posted as Punjab Tourism Secretary. The new home secretary has taken the charge. Parks and Horticulture Authority DG Raja Muhammad Abbas has been made OSD and he has been replaced by Saeed Nawaz, who was posted as Punjab Additional Secretary Livestock.
Moreover, Azmat Mahmood, Deputy Secretary Services, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary to CM Secretariat. Since the arrival of new Punjab Chief Secretary Javed Mahmood, a major reshuffle has taken place in the Punjab bureaucracy, and he is setting up his own team before the arrival of the new Punjab government. Sources say Nadeem Hassan Asif has been selected for the slot of Home Secretary because he hails from Sindh and has close contacts with the ruling party.
Khosro Perviaz is the only bureaucrat that has been retained in the Punjab, while other senior bureaucrats have been either sent back to Federal government or made OSD in the current wage of reshuffle.
