In a move to upgrade the employees working in lower grades, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has promoted 481 employees ranging from Pay Group 1 to Pay Group 5 all across Pakistan. This decision is in line with the Director General, Civil Aviation Authority, Farooq Rahmatullah's earlier commitment to boost in-house talent and create better career opportunities for employees within the Civil Aviation Authority.
The upgradation process further entailed the promotion of three General Managers to Director level, naming Vikram Singh Sodha as Director Planning, Hanif Aurakzai as Regional Director South and Manzar Jamal as Director Air Transport, with majority of the promotions targeted towards employees belonging to pay groups 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Positions within these pay groups included lower level employees, with a work experience of 8-12 years and targeted drivers, gardeners, supervisors, telephone operators, draftsmen, medical nurses, motor transport drivers, accounts and facilitation. 132 employees have been promoted from PG 5 to PG 6, 293 from PG 4 to PG 5 and 56 from PG 3 to PG 4.-PR
