A two-day exhibition of Vaneeza Lawns opened here on Saturday at a five star hotel. The exhibition, displayed 15 varieties of international fabric designs, was participated mainly by elite families due to their high cost. There was an array of designs ranging from Polka Bl, wrapped in multi-colour designs and motifs with good humour.
Expressing his views Imran Sattar, representing Sitara Mills management at the exhibition, remarked that everything on display was 100 per cent cotton and cent per cent original Pakistani design.
However, he advised to talk to Idrees, his superior, to find out the sale figure. When Idrees was contacted he told Business Recorder that he had netted Rs 49 lakh at Karachi from first day sales; where the choice of designs were more. He anticipated the sale at Islamabad at Rs 2.4 million by afternoon where the first day's exhibition had not concluded. He said there is one -day more, tomorrow (Sunday) to go.
Idrees suggested the textile fashion had come round during the 1990s and Jamshed Junaid may have contributed to its flowering. He added that his establishment had also encouraged Junaid Jamshed's talent in various ways, but it was the question of making a right choice in investment.
