Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain have agreed over bilateral co-operation for integrity of country and maintaining law and order situation in Sindh. According to press release issued from MQM London Secretariat on Saturday, Asif Zardari and Altaf Hussain held telephonic conversation.
During their chat, the two leaders termed Karachi incident as highly regrettable and exchanged views about PPP-MQM relations, political situation and agreed over joint struggle for the stability and development of country. "Asif Zardari and Altaf Hussain also agreed to further strengthen reconciliation process between the two parties" the release added.
It is said that the two leaders vowed that the MQM and PPP would jointly foil every conspiracy and joint committees would be set up to take measures in this regard. "PPP co-chairman welcomed the MQM Quaid decision about taking back his resignation" the press release said.
Meanwhile, Federal government Advisor for Interior Affairs Rehman Malik, PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Former Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim and Kashmala Tariq phoned Altaf Hussain and welcomed his decision to withdraw his resignation from party leadership.
