Justice Javed Iqbal resigns as PPC head

Deposed senior judge of Supreme Court of Pakistan Justice Javed Iqbal has resigned as head of Pakistan Press Council, sources said. Justice Javed Iqbal dispatched his resignation to the government. Talking to a private TV channel on Saturday.
Justice Javed Iqbal confirmed his resignation, and said he sent his resignation through a letter. In his resignation, he pointed out that judges were prevented for performing their duties on November 3, 2007, and said if the deposed judges were restored, he would give preference to work as judge of the Supreme Court.
