In occupied Kashmir, senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has said that peace would elude South Asia until the Kashmir issue was resolved through implementation of UN Resolutions. Syed Ali Gilani, while addressing a public gathering in Baramulla, said that the so-called elections could not be a substitute for the right to self-determination.
He urged Kashmiris to boycott these elections, KMS reported. Referring to the puppet Chief Minster, Ghulam Nabi Azad's remarks on media, the Hurriyet leader said," I am not here to advocate on behalf of media, they know their position, but I want to add here that journalists are part of our community. They only write what they see around them.
It is their responsibility to be transparent and write what is happening here. 'The puppet, Chief Minister had said that pen-wielding supporters of some leaders wanted that the atmosphere of violence and killings should continue in Jammu and Kashmir so that they could grind their own axe.' He had also termed the journalists as one of the biggest dangers facing Kashmir.
