Nazim Karachi Syed Mustafa Kamal has announced financial help of Rs 200,000 each to families of those who were killed in the 9th April incident and compensation of Rs 50,000 to the injured cameraperson of a private TV channel Lala Rukh.
He strongly condemned the incident and termed it very unfortunate. During a visit to different parts of the city on Saturday, while talking to the journalists at Kamran Chowrangi, Gulistan-e-Jauhar the City Nazim said that the anti state forces were always trying to create the law and order situation in Karachi.
He further said that any disturbance in the peaceful environment in Karachi would mean creating trouble for the whole country. Replying a question, he said that the City Government was paying Rs 200,000 each to the diseased of 9th April incident while the survey of losses suffered to vehicles during the incident has been started. The City Government was considering to help them too while the government of Sindh would also be requested to announce financial help to the victims of the incident.
