Total investment under Continuous Funding System (CFS) at the Karachi share market marginally increased by Rs 46.8 million (0.09 percent) on week-on-week basis and finally settled at Rs 54.58 billion.
The CFS rate fell by 3 bps on weekly basis to close at 11.87 percent as compared to 11.90 percent registered during previous week. The top 5 scrips by CFS investment were NBP, POL, PPL, AHSL, and Engro, which cumulatively accounted for 48 percent of the total CFS investment, said Saad Arshad Raja, an analyst at Invest Capital and Securities.
A week-on-week increase of 13.6 percent was witnessed on the open interest futures counter for April as it closed at Rs 18.58 billion, up from Rs 16.35 billion last week. Average futures trading volumes increased by 33 percent to 77.28 million shares from 58.21 million shares a week earlier. The top-5 companies in open futures were JSCL, BoP, Engro, AKBL, and AHSL.
