In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Shah has said that Kashmiris have been suffering because of former puppet Chief Minister, Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah's follies who entered into an accord with India in 1975.
The APHC leader, while inaugurating Hurriyet's district office at Kulgam, said that New Delhi had not fulfilled its promises made to the people of Kashmir, which resulted in the killing of 500,000 Kashmiris, KMS reported.
Criticising the pro-India leaders who claim that Kashmiris needs roads, trains, colleges and other infrastructure, Shah said that he is not against development but added that these things can never be a substitute for freedom struggle of Kashmiris and their right to self-determination. He said that sacrifices of Kashmiris would not be allowed to go waste and the liberation struggle would be taken to its logical conclusion.
Speaking on the occasion, APHC leader, Nayeem Ahmed Khan said that the people of Kashmir have internationalised the Kashmir dispute through their sacrifices they have been rendering since 1947. He said that the identity of Kashmiri people is being threatened through a conspiracy by identifying the famous places after the name of those people whose hands were soaked with the blood of innocent Kashmiris.
