Chief Minister NWFP Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has said that supply of gas from Gurguri gas fields would help overcome the energy problems of the industrialists in the province. He said this while talking to 12-member delegation of All Pakistan Textiles Association (Aptma) NWFP, which met at Frontier House on Wednesday.
He said that the province has big natural resources, so the government is planning to utilise them for uniform development of the province with their best utilisation.
He said that autonomy of the government in utilising the provincial resources is a key factor for making the province self-reliance in every field of life and a better solution to the problems. "We will take along all the political forces and people of all walks of life to launch efforts for winning the provincial rights and its autonomy," the chief minister said.
Former provincial minister and well-known industrialist Muhsin Aziz was also one of the members of the team. The delegation on this occasion felicitated Ameer Haider Khan Hoti on his election as chief minister of NWFP and assured him full support. They also told the chief minister about the problems being faced by the industrialists and complained about the electricity bills.
Hoti said that the role of industries cannot be ruled out in reducing unemployment. However, he said that peace is also necessary for the development of industry and investment, for which his government has launched its efforts and very soon it would overcome the problems of peace and security.
"Our efforts are yielding results and we are hopeful that the peace is returning," he said. Other members of the delegation were Afan Aziz, Chaudry M Saeed, Chaudhry Maqbool Ahmad, Fida Muhammad, Waqar Khan and Subhan Khan.
