'Human rights of vulnerable strata to be protected'

Senior Punjab Minister Raja Riaz Ahmad has said that public welfare and supremacy of law are in his government's policies. He told various groups, the Pakistan People's Party workers and MPAs in his office on Monday, that "The real meaning of democracy is the socio-economic welfare of the people, as they are the real strength of political power.
Societies ensuring public welfare, the rule of law and social justice, prosper and develop and acknowledged as civilised societies. The government will ensure protection of human rights of the vulnerable strata."
He told political workers to play an active role in promoting democratic norms of equality, peaceful coexistence and tolerance. "The main objective of our policies is establishment of an immaculate social system of good governance delivering and ensuring public development," he added.
