Three people were killed as a result of a road accident when an over-speeding car hit a bull-cart here in Vehari. According to police, Excise Inspector Mian Muhammad Khalid, along with his wife and mother-in-law, was on his way from Vehari to Multan in a car (VRL-1) late on Monday.
When they reached near 62/WB at Khanewal-Vehari road, the car hit a bull-cart and then rammed into a nearby tree. The car was smashed completely. The two women in the car died on the spot, while Mian Khalid sustained serious injuries and died on way to the hospital. Their driver Sajid Abaas remained safe miraculously.
