The Muhajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H) is holding talks with Pakistan People's Party (PPP) government and has received "assurances" on possible resumption of party's political activities in the metropolis.
"We are in dialogue with the present PPP government and have received a positive response... assurances with regard to resuming political activities," MQM-H spokesman Khalid Hameed told a press conference at Karachi Press Club on Tuesday.
The MQM-H leader, however, said no conclusive statement in this regard could be issued at this point in time as his party wanted the government to abolish "No-Go" areas in the city, enabling his party workers to return home. Earlier, Rida Asim and Faryal Hussain of MQM-H women wing also spoke.
