International standard laboratory to be set up in Sialkot

The government will establish an international standard testing and checking laboratory in Sialkot with the cost of Rs 300 million, where sports items, surgical equipment and leather goods would be properly inspected, Secretary Trade and Investment, Punjab, Tahir Raza Naqvi, said here on Tuesday.
He said that Sialkot is famous for manufacturing of high standard products where large-scale export orders are received for leather goods, sports items and surgical equipment and setting up the laboratory will further promote the industries.
