In order to enable a more robust showcasing of major infrastructure projects and investment opportunities, the "Pakistan Infrastructure Investment Conference 2008" has been rescheduled which would now be held after the presentation of the national budget for the FY 2008-09.
Earlier, the conference was scheduled to be held from May 11 to 13 in federal capital, Islamabad, according to a press statement issued by Infrastructure Projects Development Facility (IPDF) here on Wednesday. Pakistan Infrastructure Investment conference will provide a platform for public-private sector dialogue on infrastructure investment opportunities in the country.
The multi-faceted conference is envisaged to bring together investors, fund managers, bankers, policy makers, industry experts and multi laterals, to examine infrastructure investment opportunities in Pakistan in various sectors.
It will allow relevant public sector institutions to showcase specific infrastructure projects and allow multilateral, donor agencies, international advisors, sector specialists and private sector sponsors including bankers, lawyers and operators a unique opportunity to discuss these projects with a view for collaboration in these projects.
Attention will be given to projects pertaining to Urban Mass Transit, Energy, Transport and Logistics, Multipurpose Water Reservoirs, Facilities Management and Municipal Services sectors. The event is being organised by the Infrastructure Projects Development Facility (IPDF), under the aegis of Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with the Investment Division and Board of Investment (BoI).-PR
