Under construction building collapse leaves one dead, three injured

A three years old boy was killed and three others were critically injured when an under-construction two-storey building collapsed in New Karachi in the wee hours of Saturday evening. Police sources said that overloading of construction material resulted in instant collapse of the structure, leaving Zubair, 3, Rizwan and a woman and a girl injured in serious condition.
Later, Zubair succumbed to his head injury on way to hospital while the woman and the girl were in critical condition. About the cause of the unfortunate incident, police said that due to lack of proper, approved plan, the foundation of the building was weak and could not sustain the weight of the overloaded construction material. The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital for treatment.
