The government would announce a new youth policy very soon.This was disclosed by Ashfaq Mahmud, secretary Youth affairs at a function held here at the Islamic University (IIU) on Saturday to recognise the winners of essay competition on projects that produce good results.
Aisha Sarwari, Qudsia Sadiq and Zareen Zubair received the top positions in the essay competition. IIU had launched the essay competition a few weeks ago. Following the successful outcome of the competition a chapter of the forum 'Future Leaders of Pakistan (FLP)' has now been established at the IIU under the aegis of Media Communication Centre.
Ashfaq Mahmud as well as President Islamic International University Islamabad Dr Anwar Hussain Siddiqui was the guests of honour at the launching ceremony of the new forum. A panel of experts consisting of Abdul Qadir Rafiq, Dr Ikram Azam and Rukhsana Aslam adjudged the project entries. They appreciated the efforts of the three finalists as well as their method of introducing the projects.
President also lauded the project work done by the youths.
