Gold prices in the local market on Monday closed at Rs 19,114 per 10 grams and Rs 22,300 per tola, while its world price was $893.50 an ounce, traders said. Price of the precious metal surged by Rs 214 per 10 grams from the Saturday price of Rs 18,900. While, it was traded at Rs 22,300 per tola mounting from Rs 22,050 per tola, they added.
In world market, gold price registered a rise of $7.50 an ounce, which was $893.50 an ounce going up from $886 an ounce, traders maintained.
