DuPont in Pakistan has achieved 34 percent growth in sales during the year 2007 and first quarter of 2008 has also shown positive results, reflecting DuPont excellent performance in the entire region.
DuPont sales in Pakistan grew by 35 percent during the first three months of 2008 due to growth in each of the five platforms with the biggest share on Safety and Protection (84 percent YTD growth) and Electronics and Communication Technologies (24 percent YTD growth) and Performance Materials (9 percent YTD growth) - says Tauqir Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer, DuPont Pakistan Operations (Pvt) Ltd.
Consolidated net sales of DuPont increased nine percent to 8.6 billion dollars in the first quarter. Sales outside the United States represented 62 percent of total sales and increased 16 percent, while sales in the US were equal to last year.-PR
