63 inspectors of income tax department promoted

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has promoted 63 inspectors of income tax department from BS-11-14 to BS-16 as income tax officers and posted at different regional tax offices (RTOs). According to a notification issued on Tuesday, the newly promoted income tax officers have been transferred and posted at RTOs of Karachi, Sukkur, Faisalabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad.
The promotions were approved at a meeting of the departmental promotion committee chaired by Member (Admn) Major General Muhammad Yasin (Retd). This is after a long time that such a large number of inspectors have been promoted as income tax officers, the board added.
Meanwhile, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has transferred and posted four additional collectors of customs with immediate effect. The officers will continue to draw special allowance equivalent to 100 percent of basic pay at their new place of posting, the notification added.
