I have personally observe a lot of talented people leaving Pakistan and settling abroad. It is a very sorry state of affairs, but the circumstances which surround us have become too painful to be tolerated. People who used to love this country have lost trust in everything, except Allah Almighty of course.
The so-called leaders who looted and plundered have come back to do so again. These are the same old faces that have been lying to the people of this country for decades. They have not done any good to the people. These political parties have lost all credibility.
Look at our army; just look at their life styles. Look at the people who govern us. Their life styles, their body language, their outlook are hundreds of miles away from us. They literally look alien to us. We, the common people, have been ground in the extreme. We have no other option but to wait and see and be patient but till what extent? Look at the law and order situation in the country. Nobody is safe anywhere in Pakistan.
The local police and the agencies come only after enough damage is done. While the violence goes on, we don't see any local forces intervening. Thanks to the private TV channels we now, at least, see something. Flour is missing and its price is going up. Utility stores are selling flour mixed with BHOOSA to increase the weight of the bag. What is going on? Should not the authorities address these issues? We have no concern for foreign exchange reserves as those details are simply economic jargon to fool the people of this country.
Even if the foreign exchange reserves are increasing they don't relieve the common man. Take education for instance. Government schools are hardly competent enough and the private schools' mafia has trapped the parents who have no option but to send their children to their school.
Newspapers are flooded with the grievances of the parents and assurances from the government to tackle these issues, but nobody is listening and paying attention. You have to get your baby's name registered in one of the schools as soon as he or she is born and named. If you are a bit late, you have to run after the schools. What is this? This is just a hype which these private schools have created. We have no regulatory authority to control this mafia. There is no control on their exorbitant fees.
Load shedding is a joke with the people of this country. It is sheer incompetence on the part of successive governments and the power authorities to gift us, and our subsequent generations, with never ending, long spells of load shedding. For God's sake, you all talk about economic revival and growth, but you cannot tackle the basic needs which are a pre requisite to going ahead. All those who still have an option to leave this country are migrating.
