Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has said "we will restore 1973 constitution, and will give full freedom to judiciary and media". He said this while addressing the Bait-ul-Maal cheque distribution ceremony to the deserving students here on Sunday.
Prime Minister said that in the elections of February 2008, no party could get the majority that's why it was decided to make a coalition government to take the country out from the crisis. "I assure you that our intention was just to serve the country", he added. We will run the government by joining hands with all the political parties. He said "I told everybody not to call me "Makhdoom" after becoming the Prime Minister, now I am "Khadim of the people".

"We will not let the parliament and senate to be the rubber stamp" he said adding further, "we promise that we will give full freedom to judiciary so that the people could get cheap justice".
He said that by giving cheques here, only few hundred people could get the benefit, but by providing cheap justice to every one, 160 million people would be benefited. Quoting Sir Winston Churchill in the speech, Yousaf Raza said that those countries do not lose battles where justice is provided to every citizen.
