The President, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Raja Muhammad Zulqarnain Khan has urged India to withdraw its forces from occupied Kashmir in the best interest of South Asia.
India should pull out its forces from disputed Kashmir at the preliminary stage in order to upgrade the people's living standard in the region, he told a delegation of overseas Kashmiri leaders from Britain led by Raja Waqar Ali Khan and Mazhar Aakash called on him on Sunday.
The AJK President stressed the need of allowing Kashmiris of both sides of Line of Control (LoC) to visit freely.
Further, he urged India to avoid using delaying tactics and inhabitants of the state must be granted "smart card" for free visit on both sides of LoC. He also said that Indian Parliament must approve a resolution seeking forgiveness from Kashmiris and Pakistanis.
While thanking the overseas Kashmiris and Pakistanis, he said that an international level Engineering, Science and Technology University was being established in Mirpur to incline the youth from Britain to Pakistan.
He said the university would be affiliated with well-reputed British University and hoped it would help the students to quench their thirst. He was quite optimistic that university project would change the fate of the region produce international standard doctors, scientists, engineers and pilots besides providing job opportunities to locals and upgrading their life standards.
