The Karachi Port handled 240,879 tonnes cargo including 163,056 tonnes import, 77,823 tonnes export cargo and 3,308 containers (TEUs) during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday. The cargoes comprised of 148,624 tonnes dry cargo including 60,375 tonnes general cargo; 42,006 tonnes Coal; 22,083 tonnes Fertiliser; 15,936 tonnes Cement; 8,224 tonnes Rice and 92,255 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Ten ships namely OEL Trust, Hanjin Chittagong, OEL Mumbai, Kapitan Byankin, Orient Stride, Banglar Maya, Sinar Agra and Doris, Moondance II and High Peace sailed out to sea during the report period. Twelve vessels viz Jaikur III, Great Summit, Kapitan Byankin, Filippa, King Brian, Cape Ann, Bunga Kenari, Cape Ann, Thor Hawk, Sea Bloom, Lalazar, High Peace and Chemroad Luna are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Bunga Kenari, King Brian, Chemroad Luna and Pearl expected to sail on Monday, while three vessels viz Kota Mesra, Jitra Bhum and Great Summit are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Five vessels viz MOL Affinity, Tower Bridge, Wan Hai-303, Sinar Bintan and Wales-II due to arrive on Monday, while eleven ships namely MT Johar, Bunga Melati Satu, Cape Negro, Creek, Csav Lonqubnay, Ever Green, Sea Globe, Nord Voyager, Hyun Jin Ks-3, Valbella and Balida are due to arrive on Tuesday.
Five ships namely CV Cap Akritas, CV MSC Federica, CV Lucien, MT Qem Star and MT Chemroad Hero sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another vessel MT Al-Soor-II is expected to sail on Monday.
A total of fourteen ships namely Kestrel-1, OXL Victory, Barcelona Bright, Sea Sky, Delight Victoria, Arius, Tiran Island, Bernice, Jaikur, Transport, Raissa Ayu, Doris, Aktin and Hallen carrying Wheat, General Cargo, Iron Ore, Furnace Oil, Diesel Oil, Cement and Palm Oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Ten vessels viz CV MSC Federica, CV Lucien, CV Cap Akritas, MV Leopard-B, MV Nova Noor, MV HS Acacia, MT Aktin, MT Al-Soor-II, MT Chemroad Hero and MV Venus are currently occupying berths to load/offload Containers, Cement, Seeds, Palm Oil, Diesel Oil, Chemicals and Coke respectively during last 24 hours.
Two ships namely MT Delight Victoria and CV Maersk Ohio are due to take berths at Containers Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Monday. Two vessels viz Bengal Orchid and Maersk Ohio carrying Chemicals and Containers respectively are due to arrive.
