The new Jamadi-ul-Awwal moon may be sighted today (Tuesday). According to astronomical parameters, there is a fair chance of sighting the Jamadi-ul-Awwal moon. Therefore, Jamadi-ul-Awwal One, 1429 AH should fall on Wednesday. The moon crossed the conjunction line yesterday (Monday) at 1718 Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
The sunset today will be at 1905 PST, and the evening civil twilight (ECTL) will be at 1927 PST. The moon will set at 2022 PST. Thus the age of the new moon will be 26 hours and 11 minutes at ECTL. It will set 77 minutes after sunset and 55 minutes after ECTL. At the time of ECTL the moon will be at an altitude of ten degrees and seven minutes and at an azimuth of 293 degrees and 28 minutes. The weather is expected to be partly cloudy.
