Government will provide all out support and assistance to the civil armed forces to enhance their operational capabilities and to maintain law and order, said A Rehman Malik, Advisor to Prime Minister on Interior here on Tuesday.
The government is firm to maintain law and order for economic development and strengthening civil armed forces is one of the measures being taken in this regard, the Advisor said while addressing a meeting of the heads of the civil armed forces in the Ministry of Interior.
The meeting was attended by Syed Kamal Shah, Federal Secretary for Interior, heads of all civil armed forces including Pakistan Rangers, Frontier Corps and Pakistan Coast Guards and other senior officials of Ministry of Interior.
Rehman Malik appreciated the role of civil armed forces in maintaining law and order. He lauded the great sacrifices rendered by officers and men of civil armed forces. The Advisor assured the heads of civil armed forces that Ministry of Interior would provide them the required support to uplift the operational capability of the force. Rehman appreciated the role of civil armed forces in maintaining peace and law and order.
The meeting took numerous decisions to build the capacity of civil armed forces to turn them into a vibrant and dynamic force to face wide range of threats and challenges. Various measures were approved in the meeting for the welfare of the troops to bring them at par with rest of the security forces.
