The National Police Bureau (NPB) has set up digitalised Data Centres at the police stations of four provincial headquarters; Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta, under the police station automation programme, part of a pilot project that has been started to automate 39 offices of high ranking officers, including 16 police stations.
"Police stations automation project costing Rs 1.4 billion would be completed by June this year and entire police system would be linked through computer to save all criminal record", sources in NPB told Business Recorder here on Wednesday.
