Five trucks, four trolleys loaded with wheat seized

In the on-going, province-wide drive against smuggling, five trucks and 4 trolleys loaded with fresh stock of wheat were seized in Pakpattan on Thursday. District Co-ordination Officer, Pakpattan Saeed Iqbal Wahla told APP by telephone that special check-posts have been established on the directive of Chief Secretary Punjab Javed Mahmood, on all inter city routes of the district Pakpattan to check the illegal transportation of wheat.
DCO said that 2,75,000 large size bags of wheat have so far been procured during the current season and hoped to achieve the procurement target well in time.
