A transporter, who supply fuel to Nato forces in Afghanistan, was kidnapped in the jurisdiction of Boat Basin Police Station on Friday. According to police sources, Shaukat Afridi was kidnapped by four unidentified persons when he was on the way to his office situated in Sheeri Jinnah Colony.
Police said that Shaukat's driver and gunman were also held hostage at gunpoint but later released by the kidnappers. They said that Shaukat was kidnapped in a Suzuki high-roof (AGH-7183). A case had been registered and investigation initiated in this regard, the police said.
