Pakistan Muslim League-N has convened a joint meeting of its Central Executive Council (CEC) and parliamentary party on May 12 in Islamabad. The meeting would discuss the party's future line of action, if the deposed judges not restored as promised by the two parties to restore them through a parliemantry resolution on the day.
The meeting would be chaired by party chief Mian Nawaz Sharif and all the CEC members and parliamentarians would attend it. The meeting would have a significant importance in the sense that the PML-N might take a strong decision to part its ways from the coalition government as per its commitment if the judges were not restored.
At present, PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif is in London along with senior party leaders in a last ditch efforts to convince PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari for the reinstatement of the sacked judiciary to the November 2 position. However, time is crucial for both the major coalition partners in case they failed to develop consensus on the burning issue.
Talking to media on Friday, PML-N senior minister and one of the effective party leaders Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan categorically hinted at parting ways from the coalition government on May 12 if judges were not restored as per PML-N's stance. He opined that the judges issue should not go beyond May 12, the deadline, hoping that the two leaders in London would come up with a final and acceptable solution.
