According to a report in a Lahore daily, the Health Ministry's Drugs Registration Board has cancelled registration of all anti-diarrhoeal drugs containing Kaolin or Pectin, prohibiting their manufacture and sale. Recently the Government of China banned use of some chemicals for use in manufacturing of tooth paste because of cancer and other diseases.
In Pakistan local manufacturers are using Kaolin or Pectin in tooth paste of different brand. This is very dangerous for the health of human beings. God knows how many people are affected nowadays.
The Ministry of Health should take action about this type of low standard tooth pastes. The local companies are minting huge profits for selling such products and advertising on TV. We request necessary action against such dangerous products, which are playing with the lives of human beings.
