Moderate business was seen on the grain market on Saturday as a few buyers were active to meet the immediate needs, dealers said. On the seed side, rapeseed cakes low type was higher by Rs 40 to Rs 710 and better type rose by Rs 53 to Rs 720, they said. Sugar inferior type was up by Rs 50 to Rs 2250 and better quality did not move any side at Rs 2520, they added.
Cottonseed oilcake with bag good type shed Rs 20 to Rs 940 and inferior quality did not show any change at Rs 925, they said. On the cereal side, wheat old and new lost Rs 50 to Rs 1950-1965. Other commodities maintained the overnight levels in process of trading, they said.
On the grams side, yellow peas Canada gained Rs 200 to Rs 4300-4500 and yellow peas dal Canada also followed the same trend and fell by Rs 100 to Rs 4600-4800, they said. A solo deal was witnessed on the rice sector, where Irri-6 Sindh was up by Rs 200 to Rs 4700, they added.
