'Political instability disastrous for economy and democracy'

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Punjab vice-president Malik Muhammad Afzal Khokhar MNA has said that political instability is disastrous for both democracy and economy of the country. Speaking at a public gathering in Johar Town on Sunday, Khokhar said that the political instability is a result of dictatorial rule.
He said no investor is ready to invest in Pakistan because of uncertainty while the local and foreign investors who have already invested are taking their money to other countries.
He said record number of visits to other countries by Pervez Musharraf have brought no economic benefits for the country. Underlining the need of construction of new dams with national consensus, he said, it was essential to overcome the power crisis as load shedding has played havoc with industry of the country. He said if immediate steps are not taken to overcome power shortage, economy of the country would be affected badly.
