Prices of daily use items up by 30 percent in Hyderabad

The prices of daily use items including milk, flour, ghee, cereals and rice have increased up to 30 percent during last four days, adding to the woes of common man.
The people, who were expecting some kind of relief from the new government in face of the unprecedented price hike, have been disappointed as the government miserably failed to arrested the skyrocketing hike in prices of the commodities. The 100Kg wheat bag is being sold at Rs 1700 to 1800, which has resulted in hike in prices of flour that is being sold at Rs 22 per kg by Chaki owners, while the same is being sold at Rs 23/24 per kg in retail market.
The sugar price has also registered increase as it was sold at Rs 25 to 26 per kg while per litre milk is being sold at Rs 30 to Rs 32. Milk retailers present the justification for the raise that the dairy farmers have increased the rate of milk from Rs 1210 to Rs 1320 per 40 litre.
